Kettering Borough Council Conservatives administration tax freeze for 10 yearsUnder the Conservatives, Kettering Borough Council has been a model of sound financial management and has been able to deliver a remarkable 10 YEAR FREEZE of its share of council tax.

Our view is simple - if we don't need to ask residents for more of their hard-earned money, why should we? Instead KBC officers have worked tirelessly to identify internal savings each year which have resulted in Kettering Borough Council being highly efficient and cost-effective.

This sensible approach to managing the public purse has allowed KBC's Conservative administration to avoid having to make cuts to front line services, but instead has allowed continued investment in key public services such as housing and the environment.

Other notable achievements include:

  • continued investment in our local voluntary sector, helping to empower many groups providing essential services.
  • match funding the exciting High Street Heritage Action Zone by sensibly managing reserves rather than frivolous spending.
  • delivering the Kettering Futures Project, which brings together the Council and other key local agencies and organisations. This is helping to deliver tangibly better outcomes for residents in their hour of need.

It is clear that only the Conservatives can be trusted to deliver sound management of your money, well-managed council tax and innovative local services. How do we know - well, just look at the huge tax rises when KBC was run by Labour! Plus the lamentable record of Liberal Democrat and Green councils elsewhere in the country.
