HM Government has substantially strengthened KGH's finances with a complete write-off of the Trust's £167m debt. In addition, as promised at the General Election last December, £46m has been provided to develop a new Urgent Care Hub on the KGH site and now an additional £350m has been allocated for a major start towards a rebuild of the hospital on its present site.

Kettering Constituency's MP Philip Hollobone has been doggedly pursuing this extra funding and is working closely with the hospital itself to ensure the development proceeds as quickly as possible.  Philip Hollobone MP Boris Johnson Kettering Conservatives KGH General Hospital investment
