Just under £16 million of support grants have been distributed to local businesses during the pandemic. Kettering Borough Council were in the top five in the country for distribution of the first Government COVID-19 Grant to businesses in our area, assisting our businesses when they needed it.
A policy of paying suppliers on receipt of invoice, not on terms, helped to ensure speedy payments were there for businesses when they needed it. Kettering Borough Council has administered a second business support grant assisting those customers that have been impacted by COVID 19 but that do not necessarily pay business rates, distributing some £0.8 million.
